Catholic Social Teaching

Our faith calls us to serve others, and Catholic Social Teaching forms the foundation of our outreach and fundraising efforts. Each year, students, staff, and parents vote for a Whole School Charity, ensuring our fundraising aligns with values that reflect Catholic teaching.

Outreach initiatives include:

  • Community Hope Project: Providing care bags with toiletries, water, and food vouchers for the homeless.
  • Lenten Promises: Students engage in acts of service, such as litter picking, to support the local community.
  • Eco Committee: Students apply to become Eco Councillors, helping us to gain Eco Schools Award status and pledge our commitment to caring for creation.
  • Whole School Charity Fundraising: annual events are held in school to raise money for our chosen school charity. This may be in the form of bake sales, home clothes days, or contributions to our Christmas Fair or Big Breakfasts.

Welcome to St Mary’s School, Hampstead

Our school strives to nurture an active partnership between home, school, parish, and the wider North London community. Situated in one of London’s most affluent and scenic areas, our school is an excellent choice for families in North London who want their daughters to receive a premier education in a safe, nurturing, and inspiring locale.

“Our St Mary’s Way is the spirit by which we live: to treat other people as you would like to be treated, to do your best to be your best, to be honest and truthful, to listen to each other, to be kind and helpful, to forgive, and to share.”

Charlotte Owen, Headmistress
